Terms of Service — Kitsumi

Welcome to Kitsumi (kitsumi.in). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, and your purchase of products from us. By placing an order or using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

1. About Us

Kitsumi is a brand operated by Kitsumi Lifestyle, if applicable], based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We design and manufacture laser-cut MDF miniature craft kits.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or using this site under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to place an order. Our products contain small parts and are intended for adult hobbyists — they are not toys and are not designed or tested for use by children.

3. Products

All products are handmade/laser-cut to order in small batches. Minor variations in MDF grain, sticker placement, or finish between units are normal and not considered defects.
Product images are for representation. Actual colors may vary slightly due to lighting, screen settings, or material batch.
We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue a SKU, or modify product specifications (including kit contents) without prior notice, though we will not do so for orders already placed and confirmed.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in INR (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price charged is the price displayed at the time your order is placed.
Payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway(s). We do not store your card or payment credentials.
Orders are confirmed only after successful payment authorization.

5. Shipping

We currently ship only within India.
Estimated delivery timelines shown at checkout or on product pages are estimates, not guarantees. Delays due to courier partners, logistics disruptions, or events beyond our control are not our liability, though we will assist in tracking and resolving delivery issues.
Risk of loss or damage in transit is covered under our shipping/replacement process — see our Refund Policy for specifics.

6. Returns, Refunds, and Replacements

Our returns, refunds, and replacement terms are governed by our separate [Refund Policy], which forms part of these Terms by reference. Please review it before purchasing.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including but not limited to product designs, photographs, logos, the Kitsumi name, packaging design, assembly manuals, and written content — is the property of Kitsumi and protected under applicable Indian copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works (including commercial laser-cutting or resale of our designs) without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use this site for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to resell our products commercially without authorization
Misuse discount codes, referral links, or promotional offers outside their intended terms
Attempt to interfere with the site's security or normal operation

9. User-Generated Content

If you submit content to us (reviews, photos, tags, comments, or content shared via collaborations) and grant us permission to use it, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you grant Kitsumi a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing and promotional purposes, with credit where reasonably practical.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our products contain small parts, sharp edges (pre-sanding), and are not suitable for children under 14 without adult supervision. Use them as intended and in a well-ventilated, supervised setting where appropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, Kitsumi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use our products.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.

11. Third-Party Services

Our site may use third-party tools (such as payment gateways, analytics, and shipping partners). We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third parties, though we select and integrate them in good faith.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of this site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
